Chan Chun Kuang

Chan Chun Kuang is the Pahang State Assemblyman for Semambu. He has a longstanding interest in public policy, governance practice, and regional affairs, and currently serves as an Expert Committee Member of the Centre of Regional Strategic Studies (CROSS). His areas of focus include foreign policy and public policy.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs Management from Universiti Utara Malaysia. Since entering public service in 2014, Chan has been actively involved in policy research, political organisation, and public communication. From 2017 to 2018, he was part of INVOKE Malaysia, a research institute founded by former People’s Justice Party Deputy President Rafizi Ramli, where he contributed to electoral strategy coordination for parliamentary constituencies in Pahang, gaining hands-on experience in policy analysis and electoral planning.

Since his election as a Pahang State Assemblyman in 2022, Chan has been actively involved in state legislative work and local governance, with a focus on policy implementation, grassroots issues, and institutional improvement.

Within the CROSS platform, Chan brings together frontline legislative experience and policy research perspectives, contributing to regional and national policy discussions and supporting practical, evidence-based public policy dialogue.
