Ir Jitkai Chin

Dr Ir Jitkai Chin holds a Bachelor of Engineering and PhD degree from the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering, University of Sheffield. He is a member of Board of Engineering Malaysia (BEM) and Fellow in Higher Education Academy UK (HEA).

He currently teaching in Taylors University, with more than 13 years of academic experience as Associate Professor in Chemical and Environmental Engineering in University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus and university in UK. His research interests including droplet microfluidics, graphene composite, green liquid propellants, satellite microthruster, and calorimetric material.

He has successfully secured more than RM1mil of research fundings from local and overseas funding agencies, including MOSTI eScience Fund, MOHE Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS), UK Collaborative Venture Funding, as well as industrial funding. He has 6 PhD students graduated under his direct supervisions.

He also has 3 years of industrial experience as R&D manager, QAQC and Engineering manager in air-conditioning component manufacturing companies. He has significant experience in product insulation and resistivity certifications under UL and Australian Standard, Air Moving and Control Association International (AMCA) standard. He is also industrial and product development consultant to a few companies.

He secured a few prizes including Overseas Research Scholarship (ORS), silver medal in International Technology Expo (ITEX2013), invited speakers for overseas and local conferences.

His personal interests including defence technology, space development policy and space economy.
